First and foremost, the staff at Meancycles were professionals and have high customer relatioons. The staff called me to let me know that the part was not in stock made by a certain compnay but that an alternate was made by another and wanted my opinion on sending it, also at a lower cost.. That is true costumer satisfaction. I put only the front pulley on just to see how it would feel and could nnot believe the results of only one. Fantastic! I would recommend anyone who has a Vulcan 900 that this is a good product and so far it has made a great difference when looking for that extra "umph" at higher speeds with lower RPM's. I do plan on putting the rear one on as well, but had to stay within a budget, so if you are on a budget as well, definately look at putting the front on first and you will see a difference. Great job MeanCycles!

All i can say is "BUY IT, BUY THE FRONT AND THE REAR!!!!!! " i was ready to let go of the bike. when i bought it i was lied to and once i hit my 500 mile mark and found out what i got myself into i was extremly upset. but my wife came across these pulleys and also the lowering kit and now im in love the bike again. the ride is night and day. i even got the bike up to 90 and it still was smooth. worth every penny

It really is like adding another gear. Makes a huge difference on highway riding.

A must have. Makes highway riding SO MUCH UNBELIEVABLY BETTER!!!! Get 3 of them! *Note you can only use one.

Frankly, I would have traded the bike off without this mod. I put in the rear overdrive pulley at the same time. Well worth it.

Did not receive install instructions with the new pulley. Was able to find them on line at scootworks though. Had a real hard time getting the nut off the existing pulley. 1/2 inch impact wrench did nothing. Ended up getting a 3/4 inch breaker bar with a 24 inch extension and got it broke free. Suspect they use a tube of lock-tight when they install at factory. Also found that the key to keeping the belt noise down is in the alignment of back tire and proper tension on the belt. With all that said...I could not be happier with this new pulley. Did not lose much in the low gears but RPM droped considerably in the 3 , 4 and 5. Also...my speedometor is now almost acurate. It was about 9% off (based on GPS) before install. Life is good.

Like adding a Sixth gear

Lowers engine revs and stops me hunting for a sixthe gear. Also corrects the 8% speedo error that seems to be an inherent fault in the bike

Single best thing I've done to this bike. Overall performance and feel is so much better. Makes speedometer accurate, quieter at cruise. Power band actually seems better fit to bike. You will love it!

easy to install had no problems only this is pulley is very heavy and didnt bring rpm down as much as desired but not a bad product

A must have modifycation for the 900 if you plan on packing a lot of highway miles. Takes some of the bite out of the low end when taking off from start, but more than makes up for it in the power and smoothness delivered to the upper gears where the 900 normally revs very high at highway speeds. Only complaint would be the noise from the drive belt sometimes, don't know exactly how the pully is causing it but it's not and uncommon complaint. I just spray some silicone once a week or so on the belt and that usually fixes it just fine though. (Note) you WILL need an impact wrench to install this part, Just FYI
